Created and co-lead the Ethical Culture Fieldston School Drum Camp for middle school children each summer.

Successful and diverse career as a drummer, multi-instrumentalist, keyboard percussionist, and vocalist and voiceover artist with a diverse group of major artists including Tony Bennett, Phil Woods, Robert De Niro, Angelique Kidjo, Weird Al  Yankovic, appearing on film and television to millions of viewers, and the voice behind major campaigns including Goldfish Crackers, The Jolly Green Giant and more.

EXPERIENCE

The Collective School Of Music — 2008 – 2020

Clinician, Artist In Residence, Faculty 2008 – 2020.

Created the Genre Analysis course which traces the multicultural roots of American music from the blues through Jazz, R&B, Rock, and contemporary styles.

Taught the Jazz and Standards vocal track, guiding students through the Great American Songbook and Jazz improvisation as well as technique instruction.

Prepared all students for recital performances.

One on one sessions with drum students covering all aspects of drum set technique and musicianship.

Hosted online courses and interviews with major jazz figures.

Percussive Arts Society (PAS) — 2016-2025

• Artist / Clinician PASIC ’25.

President, NY Chapter, 2021-2023.

A member of PAS since the mid ’80s, six-year committee term in 2016.

PAS Oral History initiative 2016-2022.

Private Teaching Practice — 1978-Present

Training drummers in all facets of drum set technique and musicianship.

Prepared junior high students for pre-college courses at The Juilliard School, Manhattan School of Music, Berklee College of Music, The New School, and others.

Students have recorded or toured with world class artists including Jason Mraz, Danny Elfman, Seal, Ziggy Marley, Andre 3000, Quicksand, Sophie B. Hawkins, Jose Feliciano, Engelbert Humperdinck, and more.
