I run the Dave Stark Drumming Lab where I teach private students and master classes globally. As a teacher for over 35 years, I specialize in helping students refine their technique, advanced rhythm and meter, Latin Drumset playing, Odd Time signatures, chart reading and writing, and college scholarship preparation.
Year after year my students win scholarships to the top music programs in the USA and abroad. My approach to teaching goes far beyond flipping pages in books. It’s more about learning HOW to practice effectively to reach your goals. My lessons are strictly online unless I’m traveling near you. If you’re coming to SW Florida where I’m located, I have a location in Sarasota to do one off lessons with a minimum 3 hour booking.
I am currently the President of the Florida Chapter of the Percussive Arts Society and a board member of the PAS Drumset Committee as well as a former member of the PAS Education Committee.
