NAMM Foundation Grant Maintains Support for 2023 Experience Drumming! Events

Thanks to the support from the NAMM Foundation, the PMC is accepting applications for in-person Experience Drumming! educational events. Events can be co-sponsored with various venues, such as schools, afterschool programs, libraries, and senior centers.

This year’s NAMM Foundation grant award maintains pre-pandemic funding levels, enabling PlayDrums.com to continue expanding access and geographic reach for percussion education events. The annual NAMM Foundation grant reflect the generosity ongoing support from NAMM members and The NAMM Show participants.

We are very interested in recruiting a diverse new set of artists/instructors to energize the public about the joy and benefits of drumming. Individuals and organizations who offer drumming and percussion-related experiences are encouraged to apply for PlayDrums.com Experience Drumming! stipend funding for educational events and programs they lead.

PlayDrums.com, the online hub connecting drummers with percussion retailers and manufacturers, is gaining momentum promoting the Experience Drumming! education program to partners seeking to host community-based learning events.

For nearly 30 years, the corporate members of the PMC have dedicated time and resources to invigorate public engagement with percussion instruments. With an expanded board of directors and streamlined, turnkey program packages, the PMC can strengthen and sustain market development through experiential education programs in 2023. In addition, the PMC is reviewing ways to undertake a strategic planning initiative, to envision and implement even greater impact in the years to come.
